About
Bear Claw Brewery is a micro-brewery in Berwick-upon-Tweed that focuses on fermentation in oak barriques. All our beers are fermented in ex-wine barrels.
Some beers are barrel aged, but our main vibe is the use of oak barriques as a standard fermentation vessel. All of our pale ales, IPAs, stouts, saisons etc. are served mild: after around 4-6 weeks conditioning.
Mostly our beers are served on draught, as pints, in the brewery on our pop-up Tap Days. We also bottle and mini cask our beers for special occasions, such as around Christmas time.
Tap Days
The brewery is open to the public as a bar every Saturday 12-5pm and the first Wednesday of the month 12-9pm.
Check out our Facebook page for up-to-date draught lists, and our current bottle / mini cask stock.
Please note: Unfortunately dogs are not allowed inside the brewery. However, they are very welcome on a lead in our outside seating area.
Wholesale / Cask Sales
The majority of our beers are sold directly from the brewery bar on our Tap Days. Occasionally, you might find our beers in other pubs, bars or shops in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Unfortunately, due to capacity, we are currently unable to commit any new wholesale stockists at the moment. Similarly, we are unable to supply casks to members of the public for events or parties.
